Meet Kevin 2.0: The Art Object Disguised as a Doll

This year, just 18 Kevin dolls have been unleashed upon the world.

These are not toys. They’re miniature, hand-stitched enigmas. Each Kevin is crafted entirely by hand using luxurious, best-in-class materials: soft and rare Steiff wool, handblown Austrian glass eyes that follow you (judgmentally, but lovingly), precision-made metal joints, and an elegantly pleated removable ruff that would make Shakespeare weep.

Each Kevin is unique, no two are the same - because they’re brought to life by Japanese artist Haruna Sato, one by one, with the care and intensity of someone who clearly knows how to summon sentient creatures from fur and thread.

For 2025, Kevin comes with a gilded crown. Yes, a crown. Because Kevin knows his worth, and so should you. You can request a custom crown from our studio, and each Kevin comes with a little surprise “blind box” crown as well, because why not confuse your other dolls?

He also arrives with a birth certificate and his edition number, which he is very proud of. Compact enough to ride in your handbag, on your desk, or across the globe, Kevin 1.0 has already made it to 15 continents (and one awkward dinner party).

Is he expensive? Yes.

Should he be? Absolutely.
